Where are you located?

I live in a tiny town about 25 miles west of Chehalis, Washington. I shoot all over Washington and Oregon, and will travel anywhere for my clients. I've worked in Wisconsin, Florida, Colorado, and even Ireland!

How would you describe your style?

I shoot documentary style photos with moody, film-inspired, edits.

How long will it take to receive my images?

After our session, I will have a few sneak peeks and a gallery for you to choose your images from within 1 week. After I receive your choices, your final images will be individually hand edited and delivered to you within 4 weeks. 

Where does the session take place?

I will personally help you choose a location that is beautiful, safe and age appropriate for your whole family. Locations like Mt. Rainier, Mt. St. Helens, Long Beach, Mima Mounds, Tolmie State Park, and a number of creeks, rivers, lakes, and private property locations are used often.

What if I'm not photogenic?

You will change your mind about that after our session. All you have to do is be yourself, focus on and snuggle on your family, and I will do the rest.

What should we wear?

Please don't perfectly match!
Wear something comfortable and flattering in a neutral or earthy tone, and dress the rest of your family to compliment it. Avoid bold, bright colors or busy prints.

My packages come with a consultation where we will discuss styling tips and advice based on your family, the weather, and our shooting location. I will be there to guide you through everyone's outfits and if you chose an hour session or more, you will have access to my client closet. 

What happens if weather doesn’t cooperate?

We will work around weather as best we can. Usually we shoot in wind, rain, snow, or sunshine. We can add umbrellas, boots, or warm fuzzy blankets to your styling if it’s needed. 

When it rains, we play in the rain. I will remind you to bring clean, dry, comfy clothes for afterward, and you will have amazing photos forever that have that true “PNW” feel. 

If you have a tiny baby, a special needs child, or aren’t the type to play in the rain, we will attempt to reschedule or we will find a cute, cozy studio to shoot your session in, or even do it in your home. 

Are the images edited?

Yes! Each of your final images will be expertly hand edited. Editing is like artwork to me and one of my passions, tons of time and hard work go into making your final images JUST right. 

What if my kids won't behave?

They don't have to! No one needs to sit still and smile. During your session, you and your family should explore, play, run, jump, climb, get dirty, splash, and just enjoy yourselves.

I will have a quick snuggle session or two so everyone is together, but otherwise we just want to capture who they really are right at this moment in their lives. Let them be wild!

Where should I print my photos?

With me! I work with professional labs that are perfect with the color profile in which I shoot. I cannot guarantee prints will look right if printed places like shutterfly, CVS, Walgreens, Walmart, Costco etc. The colors are usually WAY off and the prints are low quality.

I offer many options for wall art, albums and prints, and they will always look amazing!
