While road-tripping through Ireland, I had the absolute pleasure of shooting the O’Brien’s first family session for them.
Though my first instinct was to go with a very Irish-looking location for this session (rolling hills, cliffs, ya know… that kind of thing.), once I learned how special this spot is for this family, I knew we had to give them more memories on this beautiful beach in co. Wexford, Ireland.
This place represents safety, healing, and a home away from home for them, and I am so happy they can feel what it’s like to be there every day when they look at these images, and watch the video we made.
We splashed, and spun, and danced like weirdos on the beach until the sun went down.
It was my first international session, and it was one that I will never forget.
Bronwyn (mom) is also an incredible photographer and she was so grateful to be on the other side of the camera for once. Her family is just bursting with love for one another and were just a joy to be around.
(BTW Irish teenagers actually talk to you! Like, they were genuinely interested in having a conversation with me and it was so refreshing!)
Their aptly named dog, Sandy, was also stoked to be included.
I am obsessed with Ireland. I’ve been twice now, and can’t wait to go a third time. The landscapes, the people, the culture, it’s all just perfect. I WANNA GO BACK!!!!
I’m a Washington State Family & Wedding Photographer, but I am always willing to travel! If you want me to capture your family in your special place, hit me up, I’m ready!
