What's a mini-session?
A mini-session is a quick, 20-minute photo session that include an extra small 8 image package. Minis are designed to serve multiple families in the same day at the same location.
Mini-sessions are not customizable or flexible for things like date and location like a full session, but are an excellent choice for those who don't have the time or budget for a full session.
FREQUENTLY ASKED...
How long will it take to receive my images?
After our session, I will send the 8 edited images and a proofing gallery within 2-4 weeks. You may choose additional images, or upgrade to a full gallery at that time.
Can we get good photos in 20 minutes?
Yes! If you have any trouble, I will guide you to snuggle or suggest games to play. All you have to do is ignore the camera, and have a great time. I will take care of the rest.
What if I'm not photogenic?
After this session, you will probably change your mind about that. You have probably been stiffly posed in the past, and that isn't a good look for anyone.
Not everyone loves the way they look, but I always say, "Photos of you are for the people that love you, and they LOVE how you look."
All you have to do is be yourself, snuggle your family, and play. I will do the rest.
What should we wear?
Please don't perfectly match!
Wear something comfortable and flattering in a neutral or earthy tone, and dress the rest of your family to compliment it. Avoid bold, bright colors or busy prints.
You will receive a complementary guide showing you color schemes that work well if you are having trouble.
What happens if weather doesn’t cooperate?
We play in it!
I shoot in wind, rain, snow, or sunshine. You can add umbrellas, boots, or warm fuzzy blankets to your styling if it’s needed.
I will remind you to bring clean, dry, comfy clothes for afterward, and you will have amazing photos forever that have that true “PNW” feel.
Are the images edited?
Yes! The 8 images included will be expertly hand edited. Editing is like artwork to me and one of my passions, tons of time and hard work go into making your final images JUST right.
You will also have an un-edited proofing gallery available for you to choose additional images, or upgrade to a package including your whole gallery.
What if my kids won't behave?
They don't have to! No one needs to sit still and smile. During your session, you and your family should explore, play, run, jump, climb, get dirty, splash, and just enjoy yourselves.
I will have a quick snuggle session or two so everyone is together, but otherwise we just want to capture who they really are right at this moment in their lives.
Let them be wild!
Where should I print my photos?
With me! I work with professional labs that are perfect with the color profile in which I shoot. When ordering prints through consumer grade labs such as shutterfly, CVS, Walgreens, Walmart, Costco etc. You never now what you will get back. The colors are usually WAY off and the prints are low quality.
I offer many options for wall art, albums and prints, and they will always look amazing!
